DoggyDish.com Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 31, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information DoggyDish.com collects, how we use and share that information, and your choices regarding your data. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that is relevant to providing and improving our services. The types of information we collect include:

  • Information You Provide Directly: When you submit an agent via our Agent Submission Form (or if you contact us or sign up for any newsletter), you may provide personal details. This can include your name, email address, and any content you choose to submit (such as the agent’s description, URL, and optional files). We will also collect any other information you knowingly provide, for example if you fill out a contact form or communicate with us.

  • Automatically Collected Data: We collect certain information automatically when you use our Site. This may include your IP address, general location inferred from the IP, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and the date/time of visits. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (described more below) to gather usage and analytics data. This information is generally aggregated and is used for understanding how users interact with our Site. While we do not use this data to personally identify you, some of it (like IP addresses or unique cookie IDs) may be considered personal data under certain laws.

  • Cookies & Tracking Technologies: Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help the Site function and provide us insights into usage. We (or our service providers) use:

    • Necessary Cookies: to enable core site functionality (for example, to remember preferences or keep you logged in if applicable).

    • Analytics Cookies: to collect information about traffic and user behavior on our Site. For instance, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to track metrics such as which pages are visited, how long users stay, and how they arrived at the Site. Google Analytics may collect information like your IP address and set cookies or use device identifiers to help us analyze Site usage.

    • Advertising Cookies (if applicable): We do not currently display third-party ads, but in the future we may partner with advertising networks (like Google AdSense) that use cookies to deliver relevant ads. (See the “Advertising and Third-Party Services” section below for more details.)

You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies; however, some Site features might not function properly if cookies are disabled. For more information on cookies and how to manage them, see our separate Cookies Policy (if available) or the help documentation for your specific browser.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes in operating and improving our services:

  • To Operate the Site and Provide Services: We use personal information you provide (like your name and email) to process your agent submissions and, if applicable, to display your submitted content on our Site (for example, showcasing your agent in the gallery along with crediting you by name). If you contact us or submit a query, we will use your information to respond.

  • To Communicate With You: We may use your email to send confirmations or updates about your submissions. If you have opted in to receive newsletters or updates, we will use your contact information to send you those. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us directly. (Note: even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you essential administrative communications, such as important changes to our policies or confirmations related to your use of the Site.)

  • To Improve and Customize Our Services: We analyze usage data (like which pages are popular or how users navigate the Site) to understand our audience and improve our content and features. This helps us optimize user experience, fix technical issues, and develop new tools or functionalities.

  • For Security and Abuse Prevention: We may use information (including IP addresses and user activity logs) to monitor for suspicious or fraudulent activity and to detect, prevent, and address potential security incidents or misuse of our Site. For example, we utilize spam prevention services (such as Akismet for form submissions) to filter out spam or malicious submissions; such services may process some submission data to help identify spam.

  • Legal Compliance: Where required, we will use or disclose personal information to comply with legal obligations. This includes responding to lawful requests by public authorities (such as court orders or subpoenas), or to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which we collected it, and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. If we need to use your information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and, if required, seek your consent.

How We Share or Disclose Information

We value your privacy and handle your personal information with care. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for profit. However, we may share certain information in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to help run our Site and services. Examples include website hosting providers, analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics), email delivery services, and spam detection services (e.g., Akismet). These providers may process your information on our behalf for the purposes mentioned in this policy. We only provide them with the data necessary to perform their specific services, and they are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for those purposes.

  • With Advertising and Analytics Partners: If we participate in advertising networks in the future, we will share information as needed for ads (for instance, advertising partners may receive cookie identifiers or browsing data to display targeted ads). Currently, our primary analytics partner is Google Analytics, which collects usage data on our behalf; Google may use this information to improve their analytics services, but cannot use it to identify you personally for their own purposes under their terms. (See “Advertising and Third-Party Services” below for more on how advertising data is handled.)

  • If You Submit Content for Publication: Any information you include in a submission intended for public display (such as the content of your agent submission) may be visible to others on the Site. For example, if you provide your name or an alias as the “Agent Creator,” that name may be displayed alongside your agent in our gallery. We advise you not to include sensitive personal details in content that will be published. We are not responsible for personal information you choose to make public via our Site.

  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information about you if required to do so by law or legal process, or if we have a good-faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with legal obligations, investigations, or valid requests by authorities; (b) enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; (c) detect or prevent fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of InSupport LLC, our users, or the public.

  • Business Transfers: If our company or the Site is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will endeavor to ensure the new owner or successor honors the commitments we’ve made in this Privacy Policy regarding your personal data.

When we share information with third parties as described above, we only share as much as is reasonably necessary. We also require recipients to safeguard personal information and to not use it for purposes other than those we specify.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We want to be transparent about how cookies and third-party tools are used on DoggyDish.com:

Cookies & Analytics: As noted, we use cookies for functionality and analytics. Our use of Google Analytics means that Google may set cookies or collect information through other means (like device identifiers or local storage) to analyze your use of our Site. Google Analytics provides reports that help us understand web traffic and webpage usage. Google may also use the data collected to contextualize and personalize ads in its own advertising network, though we do not serve Google Ads on our Site at this time. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Site is governed by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt-out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using cookie controls (if available on our Site).

Advertising and Third-Party Services: We do not currently display advertisements from third-party ad networks on DoggyDish.com. However, in the future, we may partner with advertising vendors such as Google AdSense to display ads. If that occurs, the following will apply:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on users’ prior visits to this website or other websites. These advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show you ads based on your browsing history on our Site and across the Internet.

  • Google (as a third-party vendor) may use a cookie (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to enable ad serving. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

  • You have choices when it comes to personalized advertising. Opt-Out: You may opt out of personalized ads served by Google by visiting the Google Ads Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out of certain third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at aboutads.info (or by using other industry-provided opt-out tools).

  • If we use other advertising networks or third-party ad vendors, we will provide links to their privacy policies and, where applicable, instructions for opting out. We will also update this Privacy Policy to reflect such participation.

Please note that even if you opt out of personalized advertising, you may still see non-personalized ads (ads that are not tailored to you). Also, our Site may in the future integrate other third-party services (such as social media sharing buttons or embedded content) that could set their own cookies. We do not control the data collected by third parties via such cookies or plugins. Be sure to review the privacy policies of any third-party services for information on their practices.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. For example, if you submit content to be published, we may keep that content and associated personal info (like your name) online until you request its removal or until it no longer serves the purpose of publication. If you contact us directly, we may retain records of that correspondence.

We may also retain certain usage data (which may include some personal identifiers) for our internal analysis purposes. Usage data that is kept will generally be aggregated or anonymized where possible. If you request deletion of your personal data (see Your Rights and Choices below), we will delete or anonymize your data, unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons (for instance, for compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements).

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the security of your personal information. We use industry-standard security practices, such as encryption (for data in transit, e.g., employing HTTPS), secure hosting environments, and access controls to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your data. Our service providers are also expected to implement appropriate security measures.

However, please understand that no website or method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You share and transmit information at your own risk. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your Rights and Choices

You have certain rights and choices regarding your personal information:

  • Access and Update: You may contact us to request information about the personal data we hold about you. If you believe that any information we have is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know so we can update it.

  • Opt-Out of Marketing: If at any time you prefer not to receive marketing or newsletter emails from us, you can unsubscribe by using the link in those emails or by contacting us. (Note: We may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, submissions, or our ongoing business relations.)

  • Do Not Track: Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. At this time, our Site does not respond differently to DNT signals, because there is not yet a common industry standard for DNT. We continue to monitor developments around DNT and may reconsider our approach if a standard emerges.

  • Cookies: As described, you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings and other tools. You may also be able to manage certain cookies (especially for analytics or advertising) via opt-out tools (such as the Google Analytics opt-out or the industry ad opt-outs mentioned above).

  • Request Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain exceptions by law). For example, if you have submitted an agent or other personal data and you want it removed, you can request erasure. Please see our Data Removal Policy below for the process on how to do this. We will honor verifiable deletion requests and will delete (or anonymize) your information unless it is necessary for us to retain it for legitimate business or legal purposes.

  • California Privacy Rights: If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or other state laws, including the right to know what personal information we collect, disclose, or sell (we do not sell personal data), to request deletion of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise applicable California rights, you can contact us as described in the Contact section. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

  • GDPR (EEA/UK Residents): If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) such as the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, and the right to data portability. Where our processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time (which will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal). To exercise GDPR rights, please contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

Please see our Data Removal Policy for full details on how to request removal of your information. Requests are processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA.

We will not retaliate against you for exercising any of these rights. To protect your privacy and security, we may take steps to verify your identity before complying with your request (for example, verifying an email address or requiring additional information to confirm identity for sensitive requests).

If you are in a region with data transfer regulations (such as the EU), we will rely on appropriate legal mechanisms for data transfer, such as standard contractual clauses or your consent.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. In some cases, we may provide additional notice (such as adding a statement on our homepage or sending you a notification). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the Site after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
